December 12th No NEW ENEMIES XMas is having Show at the Mr. Ego ... the party will take place at their shop and out back. Will include hot wine, bonfire treats, light writing, video projections, live painting and music !
To name a few artists already joining: Truly Design, Lichtfaktor, Faith47, Shok1, Jace, Jiar, Mr Wany, Alex Fakso,...
We're also setting up a sort of artists 'Braderie' that will be running from Friday up to Saturday.
We'll have a hanging construction with presents wrapped up in newspaper all gifts up to 5 or 10 €. Each present will have a little clue and/or ornament attached to it.We'll have pieces of a stump of a Christmas tree where you could paint on, carf in or do anything you like with it.
We'd like to invite you to come sell, show, share your work .... whatever floats your boat. All artists handle their own sales. Just tell us if you need a table, a chair, etc ... Would u like to participate in any of these projects? Need more info? Ready to rsvp?

As i've really liked the neighborhood, when we did the exhibition "peinture fraîche" at the centre pompidou with the 9e concept....
My next solo show will be held right behind the centre ! Rue du renard, n°23 to be pricese, at galerie LJ beaubourg.
Its title (of the show !) is "assez d'essais" (enough drafts / it's a joke about how the french say "AC/DC") and will be on view from may 15 til june 10 2008.
You will discover new paintings and drawings. Opening reception is Thursday, may 15, 7pm... With – for the ones who know it – a musical 'ambiance' by Jerk45.

Erosie: ANYTHING FOR NOTHING Expo (London)

Dutch artist Erosie originally started his career in the early 90's as a "classic" graffiti writer. Having carved an impressive career as a commercial illustrator, he has evolved a fine art practice
through his experimentation with conceptual pieces, scale and the exploration of various mediums.
Erosie now exhibit's in galleries across the world but does not ignore his roots; he is still an active member in the SOL Graffiti crew and a prolific graf-writer throughout Europe. The exhibition at DreamBagsJaguarShoes will showcase his latest work. This will present a cross section of works on this theme, including detailed, large-scale murals.

If you plan to go South this summer, this is a good moment to plan your route:
Father and son Willem of the Speerstra Gallery have been collecting graffiti art since the 80ies and have gathered one of the finest collections of american oldschool with works by legends like Blade, Blast, Henry Chalfant, Crash, Daze, Dondi, Futura, Keith Haring, Jonone, Noc, Quik, Rammellzee, Seen, Sharp, Zephyr.
This summer you can visit the Speerstra Collection in two expositions: one in Aubérive, just above Dijon, and the other one in Sète, between Montpellier and Narbonne in the South of France. And there's another expo in Sète with some of the worlds' best contemporary writers, “L’art modeste sous les bombes”. All info:

This superb private foundation will show another part of Speerstra's collection including paintings from the '80s / '90s, a set of watercolors by Crash and Daze from 1989, and the 40 Henry Chalfant "burners". LOUD GRAPHIX Expo (Berlin)

An exhibition about the relation between graphics and music, untill next Sunday, May 27th. The focus is on the cities of London (MITCH, MODE2, SWIFTY), Amsterdam (DELTA, MACHINE, PARRA, SHOE) and Berlin (JUTOJO, DANIEL PFLUMM, PFADFINDEREI).
The exhibition features artwork from single artists, collectives as well as labels and clubs which have visually influenced one of the many different definitions of club culture. The artists are invited to show their most recent work along with their classical pieces. If there was a Michelin guide for illustrators you would find three stars next to the name Stéphane Tartelin. Now in London at Dreams & Nightmares and after that he's off to Denmark for his solo exposition at the ART2GO Gallery, Copenhagen, May 19th to June 16th 2007. Meet the man himself on the launch night. Prints and maybe even some original sketches for sale at the expo - get your hands on 'em.
